Better modelling of infectious diseases: lessons from covid-19 in China

Mathematical modelling can help us understand and control infectious disease outbreaks, including the covid-19 pandemic. Accuracy of prediction is limited by insufficient, inaccessible, or inaccurate data. Greater information sharing and methodological innovation to deal with uncertainty are needed to improve accuracy.
