Fifty-one women told reporters they had been sexually abused or exploited by men identifying themselves as aid workers in Beni, one of the outbreak’s epicentres. The massive Ebola operation brought thousands of jobs to be filled by locals to the poverty-stricken region from community outreach work to cleaners and other roles.
