Eierverzehr und kardiometabolische Erkrankungen: eine Bestandsaufnahme, Teil 2

This article examines the effects of egg consumption on the risk of type 2 diabetes and the effects on cardiometabolic risk factors. Based on the results of previous meta-analyzes and systematic reviews as well as more recent cohort and intervention studies, no clearly negative, but also no clearly positive effects of egg consumption on the risk for the examined endpoints can be shown. The focus should therefore not be on a discussion about limit values for egg consumption or the associated cholesterol intake, but rather on the consideration of the overall quality of the diet. The article is in both German and EnglishERNÄHRUNGS UMSCHAU
