The Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network (GOARN) has announced the release of its widely used National Outbreak Response Handbook in French and Arabic, significantly expanding its accessibility to public health professionals worldwide.

This crucial resource, developed through the insights gained from over 3,500 deployments across 130 countries, offers practical guidance on strengthening global health security through effective outbreak detection and rapid containment. The handbook covers key areas such as organizational structures, best practices from field operations, and essential technical and operational resources for managing infectious disease outbreaks.

The translated versions are now available on the GOARN public website in the “Documents” section.
