
Global hepatitis report 2024: action for access in low- and middle-income countries

Viral hepatitis is killing 3,500 people every day, despite the fact there are better options than ever for preventing, diagnosing, and treating the disease, according to a WHO report released today. Even with better tools and falling product prices, deaths are increasing because too few people are getting diagnosed and treated, said WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
