Global health estimates should be more responsive to country needs

As countries take up the challenge of meeting the Sustainable Development Goal targets for health (SDG 3), they are becoming increasingly interested in estimates and projections of population, life expectancy, and mortality as a means to monitor their progress using a standardised and comparable measurement. The GBD 2021 Demographics Collaborators present such estimates for countries and subnational locations for 1950–2021.
